Also I think a neat addition to the passive could be that as he picks up energy orbs, rather than them giving him energy, they fill a gauge which makes his abilities stronger!

This is a pretty solid design! Though what about swapping the second and fourth abilities? The second one sounds like a bigger damage one which is normally where they put the fourth ability.
