This cover goes incredibly hard.
(This is one of the books that really influenced my thinking while designing Keep the Faith, though I read it in English, my Spanish is not that good)
Werner Herzog's "Moby Dick"
(is this basically just a "Fitzcarraldo" remake? yes. do I care? no)
This is exactly it (jealous that you get to do this on a chalkboard, though -- mine are all on whiteboards)
Games are good actually
Your link looks like it's busted
Come for the succinct, readable, and hopeful analysis. Stay for the hilarious Lord of the Rings connection at the very end.
This is a good and (in my opinion) correct theory.

Per The Economist/YouGov, half of Americans support ABOLISHING ICE.
Literally, "abolishing."

A stylized tan-and-orange map of a woodland, featuring panda and squirrel meeples and dice.
Played some @outlandishgames.bsky.social Defenders of the Wild #RPG with the kids this morning. A fire-mage bear and an archer wolverine took out a slasher mech as they made their way north to protect the woodlands.
(shoutout to @pandagm.com whose panda pawns served as their character minis)
Desktop, laptop, nothing else. Print if it's short enough and I want to run it enough.
I'm not at GAMA, but Keep the Faith is! Swing by, say hey to the @cmichpress.bsky.social team, and play a turn or two of my storytelling game about religions.
Games are bad actually
On-theme advertising display, too!
Killer stack! I love that pervasive games book in particular
I'm teaching during this time, but I'm here in spirit. Join this zoom call to express support for the KS Union!
I had a great time talking with @xoe.gay about games, what they can and cannot do, and a bunch of other topics around Keep the Faith and Bloc by Bloc: Uprising.

Our technology didn't want this transmission to get to you, but we (Xoe, really) made it happen!
GOTTEM (what book is this? it looks intriguing)
Defenders of the Wild is an incredibly smart, fun, and challenging co-op game, and T.L. & @henryaudubon.bsky.social have got an expansion coming soon! Check out this thread for a sneak peek and a link to be notified when the campaign goes live.
Right!? I heard it played on @friends-table.bsky.social and was enamored with the concept.
Three RPGs stacked on top of one another: Two books (Adam Bell's Uneasy Lies the Head, Tyler Crumrine's Beak Feather + Bone) and one printout (Kaelan DM's City Planning Department)
Got my copy of @adambell.games's Uneasy Lies the Head the other day and am now scheming about a tripartite connected game where you build a city, populate it, then scheme in it.
We had a great time! Should be up on Youtube sometime soon, I'll be sure to pass you the link.
Thanks for the kind words @canopenerdude.bsky.social!
New design challenge: Make a game that uses exactly all of the available space in this insert I just handed you.
So excited to talk LIVE ON CAMERA about Keep the Faith (pub. @cmichpress.bsky.social) with one of THE trailblazers in analog game design.
Check it out tonight at 9PM Eastern!
The phrase "per our discussion in class" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting in my Canvas assignments this term.
(building trust with students, ala Against Cop Shit, is the real key, but sometimes you have to rely on the LMS)
This just in! Keep the Faith, a storytelling game about religion in transition, by @gregisonthego.bsky.social and @cmichpress.bsky.social! I talked with Greg about this game last year on the podcast: www.buzzsprout.com/2069949/epis...

Preparing to teach game economies to my Monday class! Thanks to Rio Grande for donating games to our program
