Also, the game scales in difficulty in so many interesting ways. As a player, your skill is intended to scale with the game as you unlock relics and cards but also by learning synergies and map and enemy strategies.
Difficulty is also such a weird complaint in a roguelike like StS.
Runs take like 90 minutes max. Just run it back? Sorry you get to see your buddy Neow again so soon!
Listen, I know I'm horny for difficult games, but I absolutely cannot understand the number of people I've seen complaining about difficulty in Slay the Spire II (& the original!).
It's a card game that tells you what the enemy is going to do each turn? You can see the entire map to plan your run?

Ohhhh I do love Lear. I saw a production with Glenda Jackson on Broadway that got panned (admittedly, the production lacked some ideas) but seeing her play Lear was transcendent.
Act I of Slay The Spire II is actually purchasing the game.
