I also think a lot of the defences of “historical accuracy” for casting a white dude immediately fall apart considering Fennell cast Shazad Latif, who actually would’ve been a great choice for Heathcliff, as Edgar, who is literally of the English landed gentry (Jane Austen-y old money).
Apparently, I’m not done talking about Wuthering Heights today. Because what do mean this is the man who’s playing Edgar Linton??? Um hello, Shazad Latif should be Heathcliff. This is literally Heathcliff right here. This is nuts. What is wrong with Emerald Fennell? 🤦🏾♀️

I wish the new Quantum Leap hadn’t been cancelled. It was exactly what we’ve been missing - a scifi series made on a relatively low budget that produced 20 episodes a year that told low stakes adventures & socially conscious stories. Hell, they even did a “trans woman should be in sports” episode!
