There’s something not quite right about this depiction of an officer, just can’t put my finger on it….

New poppymas/flying jacket chimera just dropped. The flag profile. The elbow patches. Good lord.
Ok...
What should it say across the back?
Go!

Build an impressive website with the best-rated top-seller WordPress theme
There's a few of you who might like this. Will explain in a thread for those who don't know about The Returned project we ran until 2018. Anyway Cheltenham Civic Soc have not only conserved and researched their collection of crosses, but have created a museum. cheltenham-battlefield-crosses.org

Fancy a trip to Scotland? A warm welcome awaits in Bonnie Dundee. Our second national conference (1st was 2014). Some big names. Should be a great day and you get to see RRS Discovery. #wfa #FWW #GreatWar #FWW #wfatayside @thegreatwargroup.bsky.social

Not sure what was more terrifying today - climbing to the top of the bell tower at Messines church, or walking through a field with this beast in it to get to Torreken Farm cemetery!

First stop today was Zuydcoote Military Cemetery. I paid my respects to Gunner Harry Wayman of Carshalton - 12 years ago I helped to reunite his death plaque with his family but this was the first time I had visited his grave
