After Cllr Lenny Zhou is caught publishing defamatory libel, manufacturing falsehoods accusing us of being drug users/dealers and fomenting ugly divisive rhetoric
--this statement is not an apology, it's not even an excuse.

Zhou, communicating solely to media, while mayor so far fails to disavow.

Ken Sim and Lenny Zhou were considering speaking about Zhou’s video where he said several opposition councillors were drug users who had also distributed.

Then they declined.

We saw Sim going into another meeting, and this was his response.

They say the councillor is Lenny Zhou, and he made the comments at some sort of filmed event where he made his remarks directly to camera.

Of note: we still have not seen the video, or a translation of what he said.

(which frankly, is a somewhat odd way to hold a press conference)

The whole VPD needs a makeover, starting at the top with a new governance model and more accountability and transparency. And yes, they need more training. Enough with the Lord of the Flies approach to policing.

It's clear Azaroff does not have the leadership aproach needed to be the unity mayor. For Amanda, it was always about unity - but the party brass wanted Azarof. Looks like it's gone to his head. Can't see women voting for him.

🏛️ Have never met Victoria but have tremendous respect for her principled stand against Sim & ABC Vancouver.

When the integrity commissioner was sidelined, a line was crossed on ethics, accountability & good governance.
