A last minute reminder that our local party AGM is tomorrow night, 7.30pm at 4 Clifton Terrace.
We're really looking forward to the amazing @jamiegreeneuk.bsky.social for being our guest speaker!
He's been a tireless advocate for equality, our NHS, and new rights for victims of crime.
While both Edinburgh Northern & Edinburgh North Western are now straight up Scottish Lib Dem - SNP contests, we're determined to win across the Edinburgh & Lothian East region in #SP26!
Every vote for @scotlibdems.org.uk on the peach ballot is a vote with fairness at its heart π§‘
Leith is one of Scotland's (& the UK's) most densely populated neighbourhoods with loads of people walking, using a wheelchair, pushing a pram, or cycling down/across Easter Road.
But many drivers I spoke to also want to see calming measures & improvements. www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2025/10/10/e...
Cllr Hal Osler fought for and won funding for the Drylaw Shopping Centre.
There's still a few days left to take part in the design consultation: consultationhub.edinburgh.gov.uk/sfc/drylaw-c...
We're very sorry to hear this news and are sending thoughts to his family and friends.
Menzies was incredibly well respected and a champion of diplomacy, human rights, and liberalism.

I had an emotional tour of the new North Edinburgh Arts building in Muirhouse today with @sannedd.bsky.social. Since I was elected I have worked with NEA and the previous UK Gov to get funding they deserved. It was wonderful to see the result of the investment which is having such an impact.
Sanne is an amazing councillor in the constituency of Edinburgh Northern & would make a fantastic MSP!
Edinburgh Northern is a straight up contest between Lib Dem Sanne or the SNP.

A little bit of rain & thunder hasn't stopped Cllr @jackrmcaldwell.bsky.social & the local Lib Dems from Leith Gala Day!
Come and say hello - we're asking what Leith "needs" (sunshine has already been said).
We're looking forward to our stall in Leith Gala Day this Saturday 14th June on Leith Links, 10am-5pm.
Come along, say hello & discuss our positive plans for the NHS, education, & greenspaces! leithfestival.com
Growing Together Scotland recently interviewed Inverleith Cllr Hal Osler on her push for community 'right to grow'. www.growingtogether.scot/updates/talk...
Happy Easter from everyone at the North East Edinburgh and Leith Liberal Democrats!
Thanks to the many residents who've been in touch with accessibility concerns on Leith Walk & Elm Row.
Piece-by-piece there are wee but significant changes planned, even if that means reviewing an Edinburgh-wide policy.

We live in a world where the US President has threatened tariffs and flirted with the idea of trade wars.
We must show Trump that the UK has alternatives and wonβt be bullied into taking whatever he offers us- to do that, we need a closer, stronger relationship with Europe.
Inverleith Cllr Hal Osler this week called for Edinburgh Council's road & pavement resurfacing programme to embed nature into designs, especially for areas such as Stockbridge and Drylaw that don't have street trees. www.edinburghlibdems.org/news/article...
