Matt has a lot going on, and I'm sure would appreciate some book sales. I can personally recommend the bronze carriage story as a terrific Gothic ghost story that would not be out of place in any classic collection of eerie tales told by the fireside.

A strong perfume suggestive of wild thyme and lemon arose as I moved my arms restlessly upon the covers, and a contraption such as I had never seen twirled round above my head, blowing a refreshing breeze upon the bed. This was most welcome, as even with the chamber’s tall windows thrown wide open, the air was hot and oppressive. The room itself was round and constructed with the same perfectly spherical rocks of the shore below the cliff. The regular and repeating arrangement of stones was soothing to the part of my intellect that was in the habit of seeking patterns in everything about me. Their dark brown surfaces gleamed as if regularly dusted and polished.

I suppose I should be talking more about my book that comes out next Monday but *gestures wildly around at everything*

I pull loose a rib from my chest (after all, I have more than I need). Inscribe the events of my life upon it in #reverse, hoping to return to those early days before cruel experience, but this rough surface is insufficient to contain my bitterness. It bleeds and runs and ruins everything.
