Ah, excellent! Glad you found them!

When your kids complain about having to help you with technical things for the billionth time, just remind them who taught them how to use a spoon and how to not shit themselves.
A city scene, taken in Coventry one night last year. A full moon in a cloudy sky hangs above a brightly lit ferris wheel, framed between buildings and shops.

a flow-chart with 2 islands. "Do I need AI?" that flows into a final island saying "No"
It's a really beginner-friendly trail. Very clearly waymarked throughout, plenty of camping, hostel and BnB options along the way, and only one or two unavoidable steep sections.
I took it easy and did it over 7 days. It's just short of 80 miles, from Fort William to Inverness.
A remote beach on a Scottish Loch. A fine shingle beach to the left disappears into trees. On the far side of the Loch hills rise, their tops shrouded in rags of low cloud. It is morning in late autumn. The light has not yet reached this valley but the sky is bright and blue above the cloud. The surface of the water is calm and reflects the shore and sky.
October 2020, I did my first ever long-distance trail after being cooped up in lockdown. It rained solidly for the first two days, I didn't care, I had the entire Great Glen Way almost entirely to myself. This was my camp spot on the shore of Loch Lochy.

I don't see this as especially "different style", though.
This theory has obvious merit in that if an all-powerful deity were genuinely gathering His chosen people to him, conservatives would be the last people He'd want to have to hang with.
Oh. You're all still here.
Ooh... and wine cellars! Yes! Let me look after your wine cellar. I'll take very good and appreciative care of it.
Since I am absolutely guaranteed to still be here post-rapture, I'm happy to look after your wallets/stash/pets/bitcoin/home/vinyl collection if you're expecting to, y'know, magically leave tomorrow. Apply below.

if my fridge showed me an ad, I would execute the toaster right in front of it, just to set an example
An exterior view of part of Coventry Cathedral. The camera is looking up the side of a round tower made of many narrow stone columns, glazed in between.

So now this seems to be happening again... hopefully something will come of it this time.
Done. I've been meaning to do something to support your work for ages, finally got round to it!
I need to get back to this form of music-making. Barely any prep, no DAW, one-take improv. Looking back, it's where all the best moments are, it's where all the best (and most terrifying) gigs came from. Seat-of-the-pants stuff. Love it, miss it. youtu.be/1ENeahv8o6k?...
A seascape. The North Sea, seen from the Suffolk coast in August 2022. A horizontal line of deep blue sea bisects the picture. Above, the blue of a slightly hazy but cloudless sky. Below, the blue-green of shallower water.

It's gotta be 20 years old now? This one's been used a lot - still holds a reasonable charge and the control wheel is still good. They have such a nice heft to them.
A classic iPod in silver, sitting in a white Dock, on a wooden surface. It's playing Deadwing by Porcupine Tree.
Dug out the old dock that I knew I had *somewhere* and added my old 120GB iPod to my audio setup. Now I can easily get all my digital-only music alongside my physical media.
The World Is Nuts Enough
It's a sad prediction, but I strongly suspect that when the US reaches the "find out" phase in a few years time there'll be a lot of heartache and pain and loss for a lot of families.
I thought so. The chapel at the end of the street gave it away for me. As a child, I used to attend Sunday School there, when it was on its original site in Darby End. We lived just a couple of streets away. I remember it being dismantled and packed up for its move to the museum.
Provo, Utah... you OK? Seem to be going through some stuff, y'know?
Looking along a yellow and green nylon cord to a green tarp, pitched between trees in a forest. The cord is the ridge line for the tarp. A purple tent can be seen pitched beyond the tarp.

I think I recognise this place; Black Country Museum?
