Bob's Burgers
I used to despair my distracted brain's inability to read fiction so I'm delighted to be consuming so much. I know a lot of ADHD people struggle with audiobooks but this has been working for me.
Now I'm trying to get into a habit of writing reviews (on Goodreads) to force mysf to reflect.
January audio books:
Bookshops & Bonedust
Gideon the Ninth
A Magical Girl Retires
Interesting Facts About Space
(and two separate horror novels started then abandoned)
Hello! I'm on the lookout for freelance or full time work as a concept artist! I specialize in characters but am open to anything.

abolish ice is the moderate position to be honest. whichever candidate promises to nuremberg the ice agents has my vote at this point
TY for the rec! Adding it to my list. On Friday, for a friend's birthday, we're having a quiet reading day together.
Legends and Lattes (very cute), The L.O.V.E. Club (I kinda want to rant about this book), Cleat Cute (still reading, super adorable)
Finally got my library card sorted (which was trivial to do once I tried) and have been listening to a ton of audiobooks on Libby. Been years since I've been consuming this many novels.
I did theatre in college with Lupita Nyong'o. We weren't particularly close, but car pooled. Returning from a cast party, I was tipsy and she drove my car back, but had never driven an automatic so kept trying to use the brake like it was the clutch.
Oh no! I'm seeing them again! How dare you!
Posted more thoughts a few days ago, but Hades 2 and Consume Me were absolutely my top 2025 games
Catwoman in Batman Returns
Oh hell yeah
Shadow of Mordor deserves mention too if only the patent didn't cast a pall over what should have been a great legacy
Then and now: Hearthstone, with fond memories for Broken Age which recaptured the magic and humor of early adventure games
What a year of bangers!
Then: Gone Home
Now: Papers Please, but so much love for Kentucky Route Zero and Wolf Among Us (plus fond memories of Monaco chaos)
Meee toooo
My top five 2025 games
1. Hades 2
2. Consume Me
3. Dispatch
4. Split Fiction
5. Expedition 33
And my top five older games I first played this year
1. Little Goody Two Shoes
2. Venba
3. In Stars and Time
4. Dragon Quest Builders 2
5. Ikenfell
(Scarlet Hollow too but I don't know what list)
Consume Me screenshot - Jenny and her rival eye each other in a school bathroom, the UI for a To Do list is on the left, the rival says "Like, sorry the rest of us aren't PERFECT, Jenny!?" "Oh, also, you keep turning everything into some kind of competition!?"
Hades 2 was my favorite 2025 game, though just finished Consume Me and damn that was fantastic - lovely management sim wrapped inside a silly but moving story about the pressures of growing up all in charming MS paint art
Bean, a cute tabby kitten with an Elizabethan collar, lying on the floor
Loquita, a dark calico cat, lying on the floor with her Elizabethan collar
Bean lying in bed like a princess
Bean sitting in the living room, an older tabby cat, Vlad is looking at her curiously
A week of watching these nerds after they were spayed (and their brothers)
Where can I read your famous John reviews?
In a bar, tipsy and oversharing and listening to dear friends share in return. I go into the bathroom and see myself in the mirror. Damn I feel lucky to be me.
Hope you have people you can talk to about the interesting parts!
And of course I got a note "thank you for being our daughter" so here I am on the train HAVING EMOTIONS.
Just got on the train to go into the city. Feeling reeeeeeal nostalgic.
On the other hand, I'd never been asked about giving them grandkids before coming out so I'm certainly getting the pressures of a daughter.
Mostly we reminisce and repeat the same stories about childhood.
I absolutely recognize that and try to give them a lot of grace. Just getting to me after a week.
ABSOLUTELY
