I reached out personally to Damon Lynch IV to request a response. He was remarkably easy to get ahold of (unlike Genocide Greg) and was happy to share. It managed to get him on the platform, even!

The latter. I am a private citizen not affiliated with the campaign whatsoever.

I'm trying to positively contribute to the conversation by sharing a political candidate that, I believe, can make a difference. I'm not doing this for money or attention.

Damon Lynch IV FOR CONGRESS Representing the 1st District of Ohio There Is War at Home — A Constituent Response Congressman, you want to talk about missiles and bombs overseas. I hear you. But I need you to come home for a minute. Because there is war right here. And let's be clear about something else — this war wasn't even voted on. The Constitution says Congress declares war. Not a president. Not a prime minister from another country. Congress. So before we talk about what's happening in Iran, somebody needs to answer for what's happening to our democracy. We were lied to about Vietnam. We were lied to about Iraq. And the American people are being lied to again today. Every single time, it is ordinary people who pay the price. Not the people giving the orders. Our people. There is war in our hospitals, where families in Cincinnati are choosing between their insulin and their rent. That's not a talking point — that's somebody's mother. There is war on our streets, where working people who built this city can't afford to stay in it. Rising rent, nowhere to go, and nobody in Washington saying their name. There is war at the grocery store, at the gas pump, in the childcare line — everywhere real people are trying to hold it together while the cost of everything keeps climbing and the wages stay still. You say these strikes are about security. But what about OUR security? Because a family that can't pay its light bill is not secure. A child going to school hungry is not secure. A grandmother rationing her medication is not secure. The people of this country — Republican, Democrat, Independent — do not want endless war. They want decent jobs. They want healthcare they can actually afford. They want their kids to get a real education. That's not radical. That's just right.
For decades, we've been told the next war will bring peace. It never does. Meanwhile the money flies overseas and our bridges crack, our schools struggle, and our people suffer. If life matters — and it does, Iranian, Israeli, Palestinian, American — then we have to be honest: bombs are not the only answer. And they have never been enough. Strength is not just what you can destroy. It is what you choose to build. So I am asking you, Congressman — not as a talking head, but as one of your constituents — look at what's happening in your own district. The war is already here. And our people need you to fight it. There is war at home. Handle that first. Preach Lynch. #PreachLynch — Damon Lynch IV, Ohio's 1st District There is War at Home War on the Power Grid War in Public Schools War on the First Amendment Damon Lynch IV for Congress
A response to @repgreglandsman.bsky.social. There's war here, at home.
