Obama: Every day you wake up to things you just didn’t think were possible. Each day we’re told by those in high office to fear each other. Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength.

Over 160 schoolgirls are dead. Anthropic and Palantir executives must immediately testify and tell the public whether their AI is responsible.

I feel sick. Some of these people were praying that Trump would come and free them, and instead they get this.

We are deeply concerned by reports that military commanders are framing the Iran war as “God’s plan” and invoking Armageddon in official briefings.

Service members swear an oath to the Constitution — not to any religion.

We are reviewing these reports and will demand accountability.

Reza Pahlavi makes his pitch to lead Iran His pitch to the White House? MIGA: Make Iran Great Again. And there’s money to be made with Pahlavi as a partner.

OK, we've said no boots on the ground but I'm sure JSOC could carry him along with several changes of suits, a laptop and Starlink, a megaphone, cash, even an aide d'camp, and place him in a prominent square in Tehran.

What then? Seriously, what then?

Afraid the A12 goes to Colchester Donny. It's the A13 that goes to Southend-on-Sea 🤓

So your argument is that we shouldn’t defer to people on grounds of their lived experience?

27.02.2026 23:02 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

Sorry, I thought you were in favour of deferring to those making the lived experience argument?

And this is supposed to prove what, other than people in G&D really don’t like Starmer’s Labour Party?

If multiple people from the Jewish community asked you not to wave the Palestinian flag because of how it made them feel, how would you respond?

Unlike you, I don’t presume working people are anti immigrant. Just like Barking & Dagenham did to the BNP, working people came together in G&D to reject the politics of division

I'm talking about our legitimacy - you're referring to theirs

27.02.2026 21:56 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

I'm from the working class too, but I wouldn't presume to speak for them. If you're their spokesperson, how do you explain the people of G&D voting in such numbers for - what did you call them? Oh yeah "a party of middle class faux leftists"

Who are you? The Daily Mail? The Greens have other policies that obviously appealed to the working class electorate of G&D

That question was put to them yesterday and they answered with a resounding Yes!

Reacting to Labour's devastating loss to the Green Party in Gorton and Denton, Keir Starmer claims that only Labour can unite communities. I agree. He convinced Muslims to vote for a white working class woman representing a party led by a gay Jewish man.

That's my point. It's disgusting

Don't panic. 66% of voters in Gorton and Denton voted for progressive candidates to keep Reform out. That's worth celebrating.

27.02.2026 21:31 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

It wasn't entirely fabricated and, by refusing to call it where it out in cases where it was genuine, we lost our legitimacy with the electorate.

27.02.2026 21:30 👍 9 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Some of it maybe, but not all of it and we lost our legitimacy because we couldn't - or in cases like yourself adamantly refused to - recognise the difference

Yeah that was when Labour was a socialist party. Here's the problem: I was a member in 2020 and voted for Starmer on the platform below. I feel betrayed by Labour as do the people of Gorton and Denton

Great news that the Greens defeated both Labour and Reform last night, but now the word 'sectarianism' is being used to demonise Muslim voters who supported the Greens. Labour rightly took a strong stand against antisemitism - will they do the same against Islamophobia?

I'm old enough to remember when polio ripped through the globe and put my friends into iron lungs.

We dutifully lined up at school to get vaccinated. We eradicated the disease. We protected the common good and saved lives.

RFK Jr. is a disgrace.

Shame Canada couldn't win gold at hockey, but on the bright side, they've probably saved their nation from the imposition of 1000% punative tariffs on goods into the USA

Good to see the principle that no one is above the law is being upheld in the UK, but take note of the fact that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has not been arrested because of the harm he may have done to girls, but because of the harm he may have done to profits
