I actually generally support killing (or at least seriously reforming) the filibuster myself, but keep in mind that the filibuster is the only reason the SAVE Act, which would disenfranchise over 70 million Americans, hasn’t been passed.

The way it works in the real world outside of you is we all live with the results. If you stop thinking in terms of yourself and start thinking in terms of what happens to other people you will be able to see that elections are not about just you. They are about how everyone will be affected.
The principle here is to vote for who you prefer in the primary and then vote for the better one in the general out of respect for other people and the consequences they will experience if the worst one wins.
