This month sucks.
This month sucks.
Seeing Rachel Reid's post about the delay of Unrivaled hit a little close to home, especially today when Dad missed a dose of carbidopa/levodopa. Parkinson's sucks.
Thanks for the rec ๐ฅฐ
LA blocks are looooong. ๐
Well I had a good pace that day at least!
Or partly listened to the audiobooks. Listening to some parts on my long run the other week was a hell of an exercise in trying to keep a straight (ha!!) face.
Clearly internet algorithms have figured out I finally watched Heated Rivalry (plus read all the books).
A local nightclub is hosting a Heated Rivalry night with HR edits, and honestly that just makes me miss Club Vivid.
Modern Welsh Dictionary paperback with another paperback book missing its cover lying in a sidewalk.
Seen on my run today.
Kimchi fried rice.
Last year, there was a tourist whose phone wasn't in English (Portuguese? Spanish?). Then there was that group of young people by the Art of Manga sign outside the De Young Museum.
I must give off trustworthy vibes because people like to give me their phones to take their pictures.
Three dragon boats turning on a lake with a smaller boat in the background. It's a sunny day with a tree in the foreground and buildings on a hill in the background.
Dragon boats!
Two intentional walks in a row is apparently a genius move.
Okay, yeah, Korean style banana lattes are kinda tasty.
Oooh, algorithm. #nostalgia #90smusic

Finally got cute landscaping with succulents and rocks in the front yard, and some tech bro was about to let his dog pee over one of the succulents. We even put up a couple little no pee/poo signs. ๐คฌ
I got a bot comment on AO3 saying "I don't usually read many stories, but yours was different."
This is on a vid post.
Ok I canceled Disney+.

Making a rare peace offering: You can have tonight since I've made it the coldest summer in like 479 years
Couldn't remember what piece I once played with a community orchestra that features tambourine. Dad remembered it was Carmina Burana.
Was thinking of when the percussionist forgot to bring a tambourine on concert night.
Night was saved by a tambourine someone found in a toy store nearby.

I saw a coyote crossing the street on my commute to work this morning.
I've been making my way through the Temeraire audiobooks on my runs, and I much prefer Simon Vance's readings over David Thorn's.
To be fair, what I do for a living isn't really all that glamorous and probably wouldn't make for exciting TV.
Finished watching The Pitt last night. Some of the disciplines that were missing through the first 7 eps did get a mention or were shown after. Still didn't see my job represented though.
Go you! ๐ฃ๐๐
