They do appear to be buying.
They do appear to be buying.
I cannot get over those eyebrows.
Markets once again proving they aren't based on reality.
Yes, one friend i had who's mom did not work had a disabled brother. Another, who, on paper didn't work, managed the family farm that had 4 chicken houses. And they were wealthy. The dad was the tax commissioner and they own hundreds of acres. The 2 sisters don't have work now, though.
Nope
A lot of heavy lifting.
My parents were boomers and both had to work. I'm gen x, most families had both parents working when I was raising kids.
Social Security works because todayβs workers fund benefits for todayβs retirees. But decades of rising inequality mean more income now sits above the payroll tax cap.
That means a smaller share of wages funds the program, putting pressure on the rest of us to sustain it. @socio-steve.bsky.social
Hiding probably, hoping it doesn't fall on him.
I can still remember during covid his dining at that ultra expensive restaurant, French Laundry. Which indicative of how elite & privileged he comes across.
Sorry, didn't read the entire chart. That is a huge swing.
Vance? That is wild. He's so unlikable.
There is apparently credible evidence that the president of the United States is a pedophile. The comforting phrase βaccused him without evidenceβ no longer fits this situation, and journalists must resort to the more perfunctory βhasnβt been formally charged.β www.thedailybeast.com/key-details-...
Only us sentient people.

We sell ours and import theirs. The oil and gas industry is and have been a huge grift. We subsidize them & give them drilling rights to public lands with very little in return.
Losing the Australians was not on my radar. They are the most similar to us in behavior, in my opinion.
Her trip to Ireland was ruined by this one question?? Gee, I wonder whyβ¦
Being white and from the South, I have a different perspective. All the white people I know frame everything politically. The most casual reference gets a comment blaming Biden for nearly everything wrong in their lives.
I'm looking forward to see what they do with this. Tariffs didn't shake them.
I needed a laugh this morning. π€£
Update: Judith and I are moved beyond words by the outpouring of support. Whether it's buying a book from the store; offering tips on how to navigate The System after a layoff, or just writing to express sympathy, it all helps, tremendously. We will pay this forward. Love to you all.
I find it weird it's taken this long.
Who would have thought a country ran by religious fanatics that propagate martyrdom would not just rollover upon being attacked?
This is absolutely hilarious and deserves a Veep-style TV adaptation.
The script really is being written by some writers who are laughing and laughing.
βEXCLUSIVE: Iβm the Palestinian Who Has Been in ICE Detention for Almost a Yearβ
Writing for Zeteo from inside of prison on International Womenβs Day, Leqaa Kordia asks us not to forget the female detainees being held and mistreated in ICE detention camps.
Much like itβs taken some journalists years to admit that Donald Trump is indeed a fascist, so will others wait until weβre weeks, months or years into a war with Iranβor whichever countries he decides to target nextβto say this needs to end. What would happen if, instead of waiting to see how this all plays out, we just say no, here and now. No waiting for the administration to get their story straight, no entertaining a million different justifications for why itβs actually worth all this death and destruction and money (Jesus Christ, the money!) What if those of us with a conscience and a modicum of influence just said no to war, regardless of oil prices, and before there are boots on the ground? If you draw a moral line mere days into this war, you wonβt have to do years of soul-searching to figure out what was obvious from the start. You wonβt have to conduct a years-long mea culpa campaign explaining how, as a βpolicy wonk,β you were so sure war was the right choice at the time, but you were indeed wrong. As nice as it is to see someone like Bill Kristol pivot late in life to policies more progressive than most of Congress and vocally opposing war in Iran, he canβt takesies backsies cheerleading a war that destroyed untold lives. Hindsight is not required for 20/20 vision; we need only pay attention to history.

These are my friends and loved ones. These are people I grew up with, I went to elementary school with all the way through high school. Utterly shameful that it has come to this after all our decades of work and warnings to governments
This raises the obvious question of what kind of thing the Trump admin might need the National Transportation Safety Board to do that a conscientious Board member would reject.
Scenes from yesterday after a homemade nail bomb that failed to detonate and released smoke was thrown during an anti Islam protest outside of Gracie Mansion led by Jake Lang.
