oh i did see a video of a guy at a con who bought a pack from a vendor and hit the PRB01 god pack. he let the vendor choose one manga to keep as a thank you. i think it’s up to your judgement if you think this seller is sincere enough to sell a fresh case of packs

tbh i’ve seen videos of people getting packs from card vendors that do get HUGE hits, but that was for pokemon. could be different for one piece…

so really in this era of optcg sellers scamming and scalping, be more careful buying packs from anywhere other than official stores (like official bandai, target, etc). from independent sellers be careful guys. good luck collecting :)

like i saw 3 boxes worth of PRB01 packs for sale for barely the price of 1 box and thought it was such a good deal (seller didnt know much) but i knew a case has 100 packs and if the case’s og owner ripped all hits and left just 3 unopened packs per box as a result, he’d be left with 30 packs

— without disclosing that there are no more hits… so if you’re chasing hits and are hoping to buy packs off other people, check if they’re fresh from a box unfiltered. and if they don’t disclose that, count packs and make the guess if they’re selling leftover packs after ripping the hit pack

if y’all wanna buy loose optcg packs off people, check that they are unfiltered… count the number of packs available and compare them to the number of packs in a booster box/case. i’ve been seeing people selling packs from opened boxes that are clearly no-hit —

and the rich people who can and do buy at those prices are part of the problem. just telling them they can keep selling high. it’s the business thing where they raise prices, and if people keep buying, then they never lower them again. they know people will pay

it sucks so bad because the whole point of JP boxes being cheaper was that we got fewer cards and hits than EN do. why charge more for less… who’s going to pay? who wants to pay $500 for a box where you’re probably only going to pull a card worth $5

OP05 costs a lot bc i believe OP05 and earlier is out of print? may be wrong. but OP05 specifically had a gear 5 manga so it became very expensive. PRB01 used to be cheap but got scalped $100+ bc scalpers found out there were manga god packs. same with OP13 w red mangas & OP09 w roger gold manga

jp boxes used to average $50-70 here. they all shot up in price because everyone began scalping them. they’re now the prices of what EN boxes used to cost… for half the hits (so like. 1 special card for $100+) it’s just greedy people ruining the hobby
