US inflation starting to creep up. Likely Trump tariff effects starting to play out in their domestic retail price trends. Will make it hard for US Fed Reserve to cut interest rates like the Donald wants. #agsky #econsky

Normal total beef imports into Aust can range between 3000 to 6000 tonnes per FY so the US access is a bit of a drop in a small ocean when you think how much Aust exports - which is around 1.4 million tonnes per annum. As long as the biosecurity concerns are met we should encourage free trade #agsky

Sounds like big news with the regulations around US beef access to Australia softened. But we've already been taking US beef in so far in FY2024/25 at near record levels... 270 tonnes versus the peak in 1994/95 of 290 tonnes. #agsky #econsky
