In #24filmsinayear you can see what I wrote of each film, I do think some of them did entertain and needed a big screen, and I also do think some of them did art and needed a big screen. Dune needs a laptop and a long to series, with better actors and less money for special effects.
Great, if Dunes etc. do something for you and if you can believe, immerse and be interested in these stories, but for me they are just industrialised emotions, not good enough. I’m still happy that I did this experiment and I might do something similar again some time.
But the fact is, most films made aren’t that special. They are sometimes entertaining, sometimes the even challenge you artistically, but in most cases, the big screen, loud sound and explosions are there simply to hide the fact that there isn’t that much inside.
So I decided to give cinema a change. With Yorck Kinogruppe flat rate I have seen 36 movies, the cinemas were good and sympathetic and the catalog of the films was mostly well chosen from what is out there.
Am I destroying the movies? Am I missing something of the experience? Surely I was. And I have worked in cinema and love film makers like Maria Ruotsala and Anna Eriksson
12 months ago there was discussion of my habit of watching big and dramatic movies from my laptop.
Luckily I’m being all calm and relaxed of the fact that for the next three months I’m staying in Paris, @citedesartsparis ! See you there! But first a quick stop for the carnival.

Things are changing a bit, and I will need to find a co-working space in Kreuzberg. Writing work (nothing loud), flexible with space, but with some papers and books. Love the idea of sharing the place with creative people.
