I know that I said I won't speak about the game until next patch but this came to me so I knew I had to stay up to 1 AM and after to finish it

bring in nintendo's younger audience, & we tend to assume everyone interested in comp knows everything abt it already. this is purely me but i also think most game audiences being male-dominated means there is more of an inherent interest in being competitive as well

i believe someone did a survey a while back of the casual community and most of them had no idea where to watch tourneys. its an advertising issue split between both nintendo & the community itself; nintendo hardly cares abt us and puts the non-competitive features of splat at the forefront to(cont)

we just dont have the passive consumers/casual audience that other esports do. most of the time in comp shooters/the fgc casuals maintain at least some interest in comp but for splat most casuals have no idea the comp scene exists at all
