One of the best reasons to ignore such advice is that it is regularly promoted by that old classic Reaganite, John Kasich. A man who is no friend of working Americans.

In Discovery, the first Trek with openly gay characters, the closest we got to anything like this we got was two fully clothed men in pyjamas brushing their teeth.
I really liked what this episode accomplished save for the opening moments. Starting out with two incredibly attractive nearly nude post teens writhing around like a couple of weasels is about as far away from Trek, I think, as you can get. It goes a long way towards bolstering critics of SA.
