I love that record! Saw them on that tour, Meat Puppets (?!?) opened
Evening listening has moved on to Hällas, whom I’ve very excited to see in a couple weeks. Multiple eras of Genesis function as one!
Cover of the Youngbloods 1971 album “Ride The Wind.” Honestly not sure what’s going on there picture wise
NP: Most of the studio records are hit or miss for me, but I absolutely love the two live trio records these dudes did. Jammed out organ vibes and somehow not wrecked by having “Get Together” on here.
small hours big time after a day of weirdness make night drawings (black oblong) old hands waving in the cave with fire
9/2/26 - nocturn
Good bit from the Mungo Jerry Wikipedia
Listening to some Hawkwind (as I do) and realizing Dave Brock is only a few months younger than Bob Dylan. Kinda blowing my own mind right now
The cover of Black Sabbath “Seventh Star,” featuring a photo of a sad looking Tony Iommi
Happy 40th anniversary to an album that I’ve listened to for so long that I’ve genuinely grown to love it…. SEVENTH STAR!
John Coltrane ballads. World record club variation with entirely different sleeve featuring graphic representation of a woman holding some flowers.
John Coltrane | Ballads
Alternative sleeve.
an Instagram post asking what Cyberforce character I want to see on a challenge coin
which Malibu Ultraverse character would you like to see on a pog slammer? which member of the Harbingers do you want to see on a hypercolor shirt? what Warriors of Plasm character would you like to see in a direct to video movie kids win as a prize for appearing on Nick Arcade?
My buddy taught high school with a dude in Texas who would show it to his students like it was a documentary
Terminal case of Red Dawn brain
Splurged birthday style on a big week of February concerts: Tangerine Dream on the 4th & Hedvig Mollestad Trio on the 6th 😎
World is dreadful but sometimes you can make dinner and listen to Hawkwind
RIP Bob Weir. First concert outside of the first COVID wave was Bobby & Wolf Bros at the Greek in Berkeley. Spotted someone with a Dystopia backpatch
Got mine for the first time early in 2025 and it’s still been a big adjustment. I feel ya!
(There should be a “CD” after 2012 up there)
Snagged the 2012 of Beach Boys Smiley Smile from the library and whoa this is a big difference in stereo vs the original mono mix. Much more spacious, less claustrophobic and lofi (honestly selling points for me originally). A new way of hearing my fav BB album!
I have a feeling these will be up your alley @wolter.bsky.social
Ran across downloads for The Misfits “Manny Tapes” boots that recently surfaced. Hearing the electric piano/bass/drums line up tackle the Static Age tracks on vol 2 is a hoot!
As far as the sheltering is concerned, the ever wonderful @tylerwilcox.bsky.social made this absolutely perfect ragged mix of shelter versions. A must! As they say
In case no one has wondered, the Dylaning has continued, with my primary enjoyment coming from the Time Out Of Mind and beyond catalog (minus the standards rex, still not there yet re repeated listenings) and the song “Shelter From The Storm.”
There are Jah Wobbles everywhere if you have the eyes to see
Took a long walk and listened to all of Rough and Rowdy Ways today for the first time and man now I really wish I had hit up the show. Terrific album, most I’ve enjoyed something in a bit
The cover of The Clash’s “Sandinista!,” possibly my favorite album ever.
Happy 45th anniversary to the release of what might push shove etc be my favorite album ever, Sandinista! A bold statement, but every album I’ve loved since high school only has a facet (no metal) so you see where I’m going with that. The Clash in full pomp, Mick at the wheels and Joe matching
Danish library system is stacked with Dylan releases so I’ve got those boxes on my list.
Kinda wish I saw him a month or so ago at the Royal Arena. Saw him once in 2001 a few weeks after 9/11. More of a “well, checked THAT one off the list” than an actual concert in my young eyes if you catch my drift
Been fair to middling going on with the podcast/irony years of the 80s but now I just hit Time Out Of Mind, and oh I get it again! I am 44 years old.
