$50 prereleases and $500 standard decks has made it MUCH easier for me to mentally move on from Magic. I tried to stick with it even in spite of my distaste for crossovers, but spending so much money on something that really doesn't spark joy any more isn't tenable
when mark rosewater publishes that it actually sold one pizzillion booster packs and is the best-selling set of all time. you'll feel silly then

between the limiting of decklist data, the literal slop that is the Turtle set, and the competitive formats being both too fast and too expensive to keep up with, I wonder how many games I could get with it if I sold my collection for a Switch 2. genuinely hard to be a longtime magic fan these days

Made a first draft around it and most of the spells worth copying are 2 mana cantrips, which is...fine? turning Manamorphose or Discovery into a draw 2 is solid. it also enables a win-con with Expansion copying itself + a Magecraft card in play; nice cheap combo with a hard-to-kill commander
Tomorrow promising to be an absolute blast on Arena, not only is Historic Pauper back but they are dropping some absolute bangers to Brawl with

I've never seen a worse looking set (to me) than this Ninja Turtles one. Hype level to -1000, cards look like they're from another game, I don't feel anything and I won't buy anything.
