Literally as I’m arguing with someone about whether AI companies are misleading people into believing their technology possesses God-like super-intelligence I see this monstrosity

AI Expert Tells Bernie: “The Humans will be Discarded”
AI Expert Tells Bernie: “The Humans will be Discarded” YouTube video by Senator Bernie Sanders

Will AI become smarter than humans?

If so, is humanity in danger?

I went to Silicon Valley to ask some of the leading AI experts that question.

Here’s what they had to say:

A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.

How US tech giants supplied Israel with AI models, raising questions about tech's role in warfare U.S. tech giants have quietly empowered Israel to track and kill many more alleged militants more quickly in Gaza and Lebanon through a sharp spike in artificial intelligence and computing services.

I would like to remind people that AI has already been used to kill people

A picture of Trump's head above a white-on-black text reminder that:

Trump's billionaire allies will now own CNN, Fox News, CBS, WaPo, WSJ, and NY Post -- plus 185+ local TV stations and news in 100 markets.

They also control X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Whatsapp, Tiktok, Truth, and Twitch.

They control the AI you're integrating into your lives, the algorithms feeding your content, and your personal data you've given up for access.

This is all by design to facilitate and surveil us, and we're not talking enough about it.

Pay attention.

I like the summary of this, especially to remind non-tech friends and family.

The damning thing I am obligated to add is how people in tech definitely know all of this and yet here we are.

And no, switching to Anthropic isn't saving your soul. 🙃

AI Death Machines. No Human Oversight. What Could Go Wrong? Pete Hegseth is trying to bully Anthropic out of objecting to “lethal autonomous weapons systems” and mass surveillance.

Even if the AI labs don't give in, "it’s insane that such questions as 'how much killing will we let the killer robots do on their own' are being hashed out as back-room handshakes between the military and its AI contractors in the first place."

Brace Yourself for the AI Bubble
Brace Yourself for the AI Bubble Are we watching an AI revolution, or a slow-motion economic disaster?

OpenAI just raised $110B from huge tech companies like Amazon and Nvidia — from whom the artificial intelligence start-up buys its computing power.

It's yet another circular deal that begs the question: is the AI bubble about to burst? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wxBHxpMFXA

Advanced AI models are willing to deploy nuclear weapons without the same reservations humans have when put in simulated war games. The scenarios involved intense international standoffs, including border disputes, competition for scarce resources, and existential threats to regime survival.

Of course, America's AI boom would not be possible except for the fact that Trump has exempted the entire industry from his trade war—the tariff exemption for computers & parts is by far the largest, now representing nearly 16% of all US imports in December

Apple Ramps Up Work on Glasses, Pendant, and Camera AirPods for AI Era Apple Inc. is accelerating development of three new wearable devices as part of a shift toward artificial intelligence-powered hardware, a category also being pursued by OpenAI and Meta Platforms Inc.

Apple plans to launch smart glasses, a pendant, and AI AirPods, all powered by a Gemini-infused Siri.

Historically, Apple has leapfrogged the industry by making tech consumer-friendly, but this feels different. Instead of redefining the category, it feels like they're just playing catch-up.

Whenever I see some AI enthusiast and fraudster brag about using AI or think that it makes them an artist that people will choose over actual artists, it gives off major "I sleep in a racing car" energy.

It's not the brag they think it is.

If you're wondering why modern tech feels like it sucks now and why everything in tech is so expensive, you can most likely blame AI (as well as tariffs) for those skyrocketing costs.

I'll be so happy when that bubble bursts.

Again, so much of the hype around AI is just marketing hype that the press is happily buying into.

If even half of what the tech companies are saying is true, then most games and movies would be AI by now when that's clearly not the case.

And I think most people wouldn't play or watch it.

Using AI is never going to make you an artist, writer, or a creator.

It makes you a fraud, a grifter, and a hack, but never an artist.

And lol if you think that the general audience is going to pay to see your slop or if you think it'll "replace Hollywood".

I don't hate technology.

I don't like scams, fraudsters, grifters, the harm to the environment, the gross and unethical behavior, the privacy violations, humans losing their jobs so sleazebag billionaires get even richer.

And that's basically all what Big Tech and especially AI is now.

This was not an inevitability.

This is the result of decades of political choices that rig the system in favor of the wealthy and powerful while leaving workers behind.

It does not have to be this way.
