Historically, Apple has leapfrogged the industry by making tech consumer-friendly, but this feels different. Instead of redefining the category, it feels like they're just playing catch-up.
Whenever I see some AI enthusiast and fraudster brag about using AI or think that it makes them an artist that people will choose over actual artists, it gives off major "I sleep in a racing car" energy.
It's not the brag they think it is.
If you're wondering why modern tech feels like it sucks now and why everything in tech is so expensive, you can most likely blame AI (as well as tariffs) for those skyrocketing costs.
I'll be so happy when that bubble bursts.
Again, so much of the hype around AI is just marketing hype that the press is happily buying into.
If even half of what the tech companies are saying is true, then most games and movies would be AI by now when that's clearly not the case.
And I think most people wouldn't play or watch it.
Using AI is never going to make you an artist, writer, or a creator.
It makes you a fraud, a grifter, and a hack, but never an artist.
And lol if you think that the general audience is going to pay to see your slop or if you think it'll "replace Hollywood".
I don't hate technology.
I don't like scams, fraudsters, grifters, the harm to the environment, the gross and unethical behavior, the privacy violations, humans losing their jobs so sleazebag billionaires get even richer.
And that's basically all what Big Tech and especially AI is now.
