Down here in the south (Orkney) we already have Oystercatchers doing flybys and a skylark was seen today. Itβs coming!

Itβs Dakar time!! In two years time itβs the 50th anniversary of the Dakar. Iβd love to go and shoot it. I have the cameras already! π
Frohe Weihnachten Grant!
Do have a watch in between all the Christmas festivities. Itβs a good excuse to avoid the post Xmas dinner washing up . .
An abstract image of a boatβs rudder, with blue orange and green colours, which look like theyβve been crayoned on!
Iβm looking for new boats to photograph, ideally down the east coast, between say Newcastle and Hull but I could go further south. Boatyards are best, as are small harbours, but anywhere the yachts are lifted out in winter and arenβt locked up behind fences! DM me with ideas please!

Tears of Light. Harbours are usually good for photography.
There is! 29th October. It passed me by. Sigh! Right then Graeme, next year itβs on. π
I feel we should have a National Nudibranch Day.
Well done Grant! ππ

Had a pleasant evening at the Scottish Arts Club for the opening of the Scottish Society of Architect Artists (of which I am both!) 2025 exhibition. Iβve three pieces of work on show so if youβre around Edinburgh do pop in for a look, entry is free.
So true.
Beautifully observed.
On Wednesday, May 28, OAS is hosting a free event in the Orkney Theatre - In Conversation with Nick Card and Mark Edmonds.

SebastiΓ£o Salgado. You were the GOAT. RIP. Your images changed my life.
Climbed it in 1984. I wouldnβt be capable of doing it now! π
Excellent! Look forward to seeing them. π
Cracking image Grant!
Those rocks are fabulous to photograph. There are often fantastic waves at Birsay too.
I think I know their cousin - tickety boo!
Thank you Tina.

This abstract appears during sunny weather at Maeshowe Visitor Centre in Orkney. And today is sunny!!
In Scotland we have Irn Bru. Works a treat.
They speak very highly of you Graeme.
Itβs great when they play along!
I hope you at least got a sticker Gordon for being a good boy?
We're going to have another bird atlas. This is a job to die for. Not that I mean it would be easy but do it well and your reputation is made.
They were serenading the sunrise in Kirkwall this morning. Lovely song.
We have the same in Orkney Andy, just much more brass monkey-ish! π
