Check out this story about Lakemore resident Glenn D. Duncan who discovered that the very kids he used to play with across the tracks — 8 in all, were in fact his half siblings! He’s in his 70’s now and didn’t find out until his son took a DNA test.

Four from the OHSAA Division 4 Region 15 State Semifinal football game between Indian Valley and Cincinnati Taft. Indian Valley won 29-20, and moves on to the championship game next Saturday night at 7:30 p.m., at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, in Canton. They'll play Sandusky Perkins.

And, I think some of our choice to not engage has everything to do with brain chemistry. Modern science tells us there’s much more benefit to the doom scrolling than the singular engagements, likely because of the massive dopamine hits involved.

You’ve arrived at the paradox of social media, in my experience: how and when do I choose to engage with one voice in the void wherein everyone is feeding it nonstop energy — good, bad, and all that falls between?
The answer I find revolves around authenticity.
