The set up is a little annoying but now that’s it for the shifting is absolutely fantastic with electronic shifting. Especially in races being able to shift quicker and under load gives an advantage. Friction shifters are nice but they can’t say I don’t love electronic shifting.

Finally getting my road bike ready for the season, as the first nice day is here. Cleaned out the old sealant, added new sealant, lubed chain, charged batteries, updated shifter and derailleur firmware.

On the other end of the spectrum is my track bike: pump the tires, and it’s ready to ride.

This makes so much sense. Strip Law has a firehose of jokes pace that I haven’t seen since 30 Rock. I’m certain that every time I’m sobbing laughing at one joke I’m missing two more. We’re on episode two already talking about rewatching.

I usually agree. If it were Stevens vs El-Sayed, El-Sayed gets the vote. But if I have the chance to get a progressive to win the primary and the general election, I feel like it’s best to take that option. McMorrow offers that path.

Agreed. I don’t understand the races El-Sayer chooses to run for. Even Mamdani held a state assembly position before running for mayor. I would really like to see El-Sayed win an election before running for such high profile positions. Right now he comes across to me as playing a progressive spoiler

And then if Stevens wins will she pander differently (if at all) to a McMorrow voter vs. an El-Sayed voter? Does is even matter which progressive you vote for in that case?

I mean I haven’t seen El-Sayed win any election or even get close to winning. McMorrow has shown she can win an election. That makes me more likely to vote for her, which i guess is considering electability. I’m not going to assume that Stevens winning is foregone. I’ll live on hope while I can.

This gets messy for me with the Michigan dem senate primary. Policy wise for me it’s El-Sayed > McMorrow > Stevens. I can’t fathom a path where El-Sayed wins the general election. McMorrow has a shot of winning. And I definitely don’t want Stevens.

So do I consider electability or not?

Ooh this book has come up as a possible read for our sci-fi book club. (adrienne marie brown’s Grievers series won out for this round). Did you like There Is No Anti-Memetics division?
