3 people are sitting at a table and I am standing at the back. Brandon Sanderson is in the foreground holding up a signed copy of A Memory of Light, the final book in the Wheel of Time series. Harriet McDougal (Robert Jordan's widow and editor) and Maria Simmons (Robert Jordan's Brown Ajah assistant and major contributor of "Team Jordan") are both sitting at the table signing copies of the books as well, smiling at the camera. I am smiling and can't believe I am in the same room as these amazing people, helping them with signing the books just before the book released at midnight the next day.
Can't believe this was 13 years ago! (Lucky number 13). I could use some more of that good Wheel of Time luck in this new year!

Is it bad that I prefer the look of "Longing Loial" in #TheWheelOfTime show over his more blond "healthy Loial" look?
There's a point in TLOU 2 where you actually get to help train some of the dogs that the "enemy" uses when out scavenging. You get to see the kennels and play "fetch" with the very same dogs that you kill when playing as another character. It's very sad but also very intentional.
Have you played The Last of Us 2? It's heartbreaking to kill "enemies," especially as the game progresses & you get to play from the "enemy" POV & realize they aren't really bad guys. They & their dogs are just as "good" as the main protagonists. It's a fascinating commentary on violence in general.
I absolutely hate the dogs and dog-like creatures in Dark Souls games. They are the only dog-type enemies that I don't mind killing in games. It breaks my heart to do it in most other games.
