I love marathon as a franchise to death but I regretfully have to inform you this has been the case with marathon Canon since 1994. compared to halo it is a very "you find a letter on the ground saying 'we did fucked experiments'" type game.

ive always been very much of the mindset of never start a fight but always finish one. i also generally don't hold grudges. but sometimes im reminded of someone's existence and it really just feels like the fight was never finished yknow.

Yakuza has to be one of the biggest bag fumbles ever. An extremely niche franchise that had a huge spike in sales, became an internet sensation in it's own right, and is one of the few IPs to successfully pass the torch to a new main character.

Then they deliberately pissed away all that good will.
