Hoothoot!
Fascinating write up! Thanks for sharing, Foo!

Happy 30th Anniversary to all Pokemon fans, from a place of memory and legends!

Yeah! Did you render it in like Blender or AE first and convert it to the dithered pattern or do it frame by frame?

Ooh I love this!
Been a while! Was taking some time away from Social Media. I've been busy with some commission work in the meantime.
If you're looking for #pixelart on your project, slide into my dms!
That eyebrow raise!
Thank you, Joey! That's such a lovely compliment <3
Normally I have a visual in my head (this one was a trip to Bali with the rice paddies) and then find the gameplay mechanic that supports the idea the best and develop it from there.
Haha I find colours really hard!
I think I chose the light purple for the metal parts so the upcycled/reclaimed parts of the town to stand out from the natural parts. I originally had orange but it looked too much like rust and I wanted the people to cherish the rusbish they use.
Pixel art map of a small, rustic town.
This is still one of my favourite maps I've drawn.
I'm proud of how compact it is but with enough paths to keep in interesting to explore.
The shading on the shoots (stalks?) in shadow is so good and simple!
The green screen props are great!
This is such a small detail but I love that you used the barrier blocks from as the construction foundation. They work so well!
This dude is fantastic!
I gotta get onto this!
Since there aren't that many Ghost types, even with Johto and the regional forms, maybe these hidden encounters have their hidden abilities to make them special.
What if the Silph Scope was used more than once?
I'll hide ghosts around the game that you can only catch with the item.
Rustling grass? A Misdreavus!
Painting moving on the wall? Gengar!
Maybe I combine it with the itemfinder to turn hidden items visible, while reducing vision like in caves.
Yes please!
I did not know frogs did this! Now I want to google pictures but I don't
Lavender Town progress!
My first time using fog layers in RPG Maker. I'll probably refine that a bit later but it was fun to implement.
A building from Lavender Town surrounded by spooky trees and with a Cubone statue on the roof, drawn in a pixel art style.
Spooky town time!
The coloured pencil texture fits the perspective really well!
Super Mario Bros. 3 'Retro Redrawn' collab entries
There's an escalation of intensity between images 1 and 3 haha
Yippee!
