For me the people who are pro AI just seem like people who are forcing a mine or similar ruinous project on you. Yes it might bring some good but at what cost? And it sure as shit ain't the ones destroying that will pay the price.

If im not mistaken, there is some talk about the patentability of those drugs if AI came up with them. Might have big consequences for drug development and research funding.
But that means that every equation or predictive tool comes up with novel ideas and begs the question if humans come up with anything if they use tools to do it.
