I think you should look up how much money Noem and Bondi currently are making ... they don't really care that much about after, but of course will milk this cow for as long as they can.

But quality has been an issue. Sculpt keyboards - on my 3rd already. The mice die even faster, now using a Logitech that seems to do well.
For my next keyboard I plan to try one from AliExpress with replaceable buttons - a bit more expensive, but likely cheaper in the long run. But Microslop is done

Now I am in my late 40s and I can't even imagine using normal ones for longer periods. I do have them, for guests mainly, but also use them myself here and there. Same for the mouse - maybe a decade ago that I switched to a vertical mouse ... NEVER going back. Almost pain free all the time. tbc

Good for you, if you don't need it. I have used keyboards since my early teens. C64, XT, 486 ... non were ergonomic. In my early 20s my wrists turned painful and I convinced my boss to get MS ergonomic ones. He got them for all coders ... I think other than me, only one coder kept using them. tbc

It is a bit context-sensitive - if this was in front of an operating room, then it would make sense ... the key being "room". But on a sign that is meant for outside it makes no sense. If you place it on a door it works fine.

Neat - I am now aware of a limitation I had no idea existed!
My wireless MS sculpt can do 6 at best, but it does not seem to be able to do any 6 keys, just certain combinations. It can however go beyond 6 keys if you count Shift, Ctrl etc.

I loved my VLB Card with an ET4000W32 ... it really made Doom feel so smooth.

wow - in the past the term "gaming keyboard" only meant fancy rgb lighting to me ... now I learned they can actually support NKRO with up to a hundred keys pressed at that same time. now my todo list has a "check number of multiple keys pressed simultaneously limit tool" =)

to be fair - I still have a numpad :)
several actually ... so if you care to use one, there is a wide variety. Mine are all wireless, for the simple reason that I like to have it on the left side.

because it doesn't really do - it has been absent for a long time. but diagonal movement can still be done easy enough with a mouse by clicking on fields (while you scroll the map with WASD), which is the modern replacement.

but if you do need diagonal ... use WASD ... do not use arrows, but allow double presses on arrows for diagonals?
not sure it could work, but just an idea. otherwise combine WASD double presses with CTRL?

you just don't do diagonal and rely on WASD - I played a browser game similar to nethack (much simpler) just a week ago
