That was where he proved he didn’t need loud guitars or primal screams—underneath, he was a songwriter. A lot of people already knew that, but after that show I think everyone did.

Yup. For many 90s kids (including this one), he was our John Lennon. He would have made so much more great music, but was also bearing our standard. Although he didn’t want to.

Ah, god. That was today. I remember where I was when hearing that on the radio.

This is a colour photograph of the sunrise over the Bristol channel. The front of the picture is some hedgerow and some plant arms stretching to the sky which are in darkness. The channel is behind with the sun rising. It is golden yellows along the channel whilst as we get nearer to the top of the picture the night sky is being chased away. It turned out to be a lovely day.
