Some pics from a an illustrated story I wrote for a LARP. Some of the minis are based on real people.
Photo of a cuneiform tablet fragment shaped a bit like an irregular diamond. It preserves nearly 20 incomplete lines of text separated by a horizontal ruling
There's a broken cuneiform tablet from the Old Babylonian period, nearly 4,000 years ago, which preserves a tiny portion of a dialogue between two friends.
It feels a bit like the conversations I've been having for the past week, so I wanted to share it.
That being said, if you want to explore your love of potatoes with her privately. Entirely on you.
Yeah I would say calling ones wife a potato (even a cute one,) would be a bad move.
Waaayyyy more basic, just you being into your wife so much is cute. In fact it's even cuter if the potato costume is poor quality.
This is cute af
It's a a fun technique to play with dry brushing have a nice wide flat headed bush, I use a makeup brush and put a tiny amount of paint on it. Then add as you like.
But as I say chuck a dark wash on that mini and it will add loads to the detail of it.
I have to say I can't free hand a pattern on a shield like that!
That's great! If you don't mind me suggesting, a dark wash on top of that will highlight the details in the mini.
Or if you undercoat in black and dry brush white before painting it will also add shading and highlighting for you. Before then adding colour and washing.
This is my kind of army, but if you can swap more out for more gaunts? That would be ideal
House update, one side done pending washes, but it's looking table ready already thanks to #armypainter pretty much run out of my "hardened leather" bottle. #oldhammer #hobbystreak #mordhiem
Roof done!
Westminster Meeting House raided by Metropolitan Police again. Statement: βFor Quakers, faith and action are inseparable. Peaceful protest, prayer and nonviolent action are integral parts of many Quakers' religious life. Whilst we take the planning of criminal acts very seriously, we believe that this incident is a deliberate targeting of committed young people who want to make our country a more equitable place. This raid is part of a systematic stifling of dissent. That this is the second time in a year that the police have raided our meeting house dramatically illuminates the broader trend in the UK of cracking down on those who disagree with the government. The right to protest is fundamental to our democracy. It's a key part of how people make their voices heard between elections.β β Oliver Robertson, Head of Witness and Worship Quakers in Britain, 5 March 2026
Yesterday evening, for the second time in a year, the Met Police raided Westminster Quaker Meeting House and arrested a number of young nonviolent activists.

It's the heath bar, you can see on the left that I'm just finishing the dry brushing stage.
And yes I'm using a makeup brush for dry brushing because they're actually better!
Starting on a big ol' project! #armypainter #warhammer #mordhiem #nerdlings #oldhammer
Reform fury as someone else wins by Our By-election Editor Tim Shipsink The losing candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election, Matt Goodwhinge, has demanded an immediate re-run of the election on the grounds that he lost comprehensively to someone else. "It's totally unfair and rigged," said Goodwhinge. "I shouldn't be required to sit there and suck it up, just because I lost." Mr Goodwhine continued, *I can't believe that all those voters I demonised failed to back me. Especially after I was endorsed by Tommy Robinson and ten million Russian bots on X. "We have clear evidence of family voting, where people voted in order for me to stop deporting their families." Mr Badloser concluded. "I'm the victim of colour prejudice. They didn't vote for me simply because I'm not green." Reform leader Mr Farage, speaking from a sun lounger on a rock near the Chagos Islands said, "It's a tragedy that the people of Manchester won't see Matt in Westminster, but my constituents don't see me in Clacton either." Beautiful from Private Eye on the massive toddler-tantrum that Matt Goodwin and Reform are having, because they got whooped in Gorton and Denton.
Perfect!
Ok I see what you've done, but in my mind the lines for the north and south of the midlands match the north and south of Wales. So just a tad lower on the northen line and it makes sense to me
This is such a cool concept! I'll do a giant I think
Gorkamorka is solidly one of the best games!
A #dungeonsandlasers giant for a friend. I've got his friend with a cow to go! They'll be used with a bunch of settings! #hobbystreak #oldhammer #d&d #mordhiem #aos #nerdlings
