Bad Apples - Seventh Wave
"I was 15 years old when my mother decided to become a vampire."
“Bad Apples” is out today! A vampire story about a Zimbabwean mother who buys a coffin one day while running errands & decides to abandon her children to become a vampire. What does it mean to be a “good woman”? Is a “good woman” one who denies her hunger?

Excerpt from "Dinosaurs Once Lived Here" by Yvette Lisa Ndlovu from Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: Issue V. Displayed on a teal background with abstract circular accents and the WTBAP logo.
The excerpt reads: Gods love a good party, and it is the scribe spirit’s duty to record everything heavenly decrees, the songs of the angels, and even the gossip the harmattan spirits and sandstorm whisper to each other as they kiss. Anansi’s cousin, the spirit of drunkenness, who once lived on the earth as a human, tells the best stories at parties. But he has a hard time minding his cups, forgetting details and changing names and the order of events. What he doesn’t remember, he invents. The scribe spirit writes everything down as told. Anansi’s cousin recalls from wine-sloshed memory what unfolded when a planet called earth met its demise.
Foreword by Olivia Kidula for "Dinosaurs Once Lived Here" by Yvette Lisa Ndlovu, published in Will This Be A Problem? The Anthology: Issue V. Displayed on a teal background with orange and turquoise accents, the WTBAP logo and stylised quote marks.
The text reads: This theme that reality lies in the telling echoes in Yvette Lisa Ndlovu’s “Dinosaurs Once Lived Here”. The will of the storyteller blurs the line between fact and fiction
“Dinosaurs Once Lived Here” by @yvettel.bsky.social is a haunting reflection on the end of the world, told in seven parts by the god of drunkenness.
As the earth grows mouths and swallows its cities, starting with Lagos, the rest of the world barely notices...
