Film about the heist at the Louvre where it's just a group of people really casually picking up the beautiful bejewelled objects and sauntering out with them in their hands and in carrier bags etc and it's soundtracked by Fleetwood Mac's Albatross.

The idea of upscaling classic episodes is not bad at all. The Pertwee era episodes for example, especially the colourised ones, have loads of exterior footage that looks awful. If used responsibly and with great care, it can indeed lead to perfect results. They really need to improve on that.

While his stories are great, I agree that he's no longer the right person for Doctor Who. Maybe as a writer, but not as a showrunner. Personally, I think that a woman should finally take over that role. There are probably a lot out there who could do it.

While I greatly enjoy the RTD era, I think that Doctor Who was at its strongest when Steven Moffat was the showrunner.

Remember the claim that we couldn't force a rush to renewables too soon, because it just wouldn't be fair to "developing nations" (i.e. the global majority world)? Welp, turns out they're willing and eager to get in on renewables, and are doing really, really well with them. So.

He saw a fly crawling across the table. It stopped, looked at him and yelled "Fuck you!", then flew away.
That was the moment he considered to stop taking Uncle Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Anti-Autism pills - but he loves their fruity taste!

Every time you use stupid ChatGPT, a thing that I once saw get a long multiplication sum wrong, it uses ten times as much electricity as searching the same thing on Google and the server cooling systems mean each use consumes half a litre of water.

A screenshot of the film The Substance. It shows Dennis Quaid, who is happily raising his arms. Behind him are seven elderly white men who are staring enthusiastically.

This Company Wants to Sell You Sunlight at Night From Space
Reflect Orbital will use a satellite with a mirror on it to reflect sunlight to a specific location on Earth.
There’s a company that will shine light from the Sun at a location of your choosing at night. I think it’s meant to be used to illuminate your own garden, but I think it’d be far funnier to illuminate the house of someone you didn’t like. www.vice.com/en/article/s...

Zarah at the front of the #StopTrump demo in London with a banner that says: Stop Trump, Stop Fascism
Zarah speaking on stage at #StopTrump demo in London in Parliament Square
Two weekends ago, we witnessed the biggest fascist mobilisation in decades.
Last week we answered with unity at the #StopTrump demo.
Trump, Tommy Robinson & their allies peddle hate, but they don’t speak for us.
Our fight is clear and we must unite against the real enemy: fascism.

Nemik actor Alex Lawther “had no idea” that Nemik’s manifesto in the ANDOR finale was going to resonate so strongly with fans.
“Because of Tony's cleverness, I get to sort of live on in a way. But I wish I hadn't been killed by that trolley full of credits.”

Never heard of this before, but from what I see, it really has the potential for an HD or even a 4K remaster. This is the beauty of film negatives, that if they are in excellent condition, it's possible to get so many details out of them.

I know everyone is going "IT'S AN INSIDE JOB" but the FBI really are so shit at this coz Kash Patel is an edgelord podcaster and he doesn't know what he's doing and they got rid of anyone who didn't think he was cool. They're going "call us with ledes, we're looking for this guy"
