one of our residents with advanced Alzheimers who never really tolerates/shows affection kissed me on the forehead today, then pressed hers against mine. even when the world is ugly, moments like this make it better ❤️

ahh I see. yeah it‘s not for everyone. taking care of my nanna prepared me I guess. and there’s not typically a lot of hospice/palliative care at the place I work at, it’s mostly people who need supportive care/ppl with dementia. But of course dying and death is a part of it.
