The final session of the year-long Leadership for Inclusion & Diversity programme took place last week. Staff from five LLA schools shared powerful presentations showcasing passion, expertise & commitment. A great example of partnership & shared practice!
Great to see LLA colleagues supporting the Boar Lane Breakfast on Tuesday 10th June at Holy Trinity Boar Lane, where we listened to an inspirational interview with Professor Shearer West CBE, who discussed her influential leadership roles in higher education and the challenges she has faced.
On 4 June, we held our Council of Reference with partners to reflect on our impact and shape the future of the Leeds Leadership Alliance. A key focus was building peace in our institutions.

Last week, we welcomed primary school colleagues for a reading and writing moderation session. With support from our EYFS advisor, we tackled barriers to children's progress and shared effective strategies. Looking forward to another session this summer! #Education #EarlyYears

Last week, Pudsey Southroyd hosted the first in-person Forest School Leader Network for the LLA. The session included skills training on using hammocks in forest school sessions, exploring Southroydβs forest school provision, and sharing ideas on staffing & resourcing sessions. #ForestSchool

Last week, the Leeds Learning Alliance Forest School Leaders Network met, bringing together school and outdoor learning teams to discuss key issues. Staff from preschool through to university shared best practices, training ideas, and set an agenda for three in-person sessions this year.
On Tuesday, we welcomed schools from across the Leeds Learning Alliance for the first nursery moderation of the academic year.
The session promoted a high level of professional generosity, with staff sharing strategies and advice on moving children forward in their learning.
Great to work with aspiring leaders from the LLA this week. Managing change is key in leadership, and the dialogue was inspiring. This program is vital for developing future education leaders. Thanks to all involvedβlooking forward to January! #LeadersOfTheFuture
