Royal Mail must be held accountable for persistent delivery failures, a former postal worker turned Senedd member has said, as executives are summoned to Parliament to answer questions over delays

News that Royal Mail bosses are being hauled before Parliament is long overdue.

When I raised poor letter delivery in the Senedd, Royal Mail asked me to “dob in” a branch - when clearly the problem is widespread.

As a former postal worker, it is heartbreaking to see the damage of privatisation.

I'm thrilled that the £33m redevelopment of the Royal Alex Hospital in Rhyl has been confirmed.

It will bring with it a new minor injuries unit, reablement facilities to take pressure off A&E, new dental suites, and expanded radiology services.

Great news for the region! 🏥🩻

They also stop the spread of wildfires in our uplands.

The story of carbon capture (CCS) is one of huge expense and failure. It is promoted relentlessly by the fossil fuel lobby who see it as a lifeline for continued extraction (and pollution).

This is a beach, strewn with pebbles and rocks, with patches of sand in between. Behind it is the sea, in front a patch of grassland. An old metal sign has been degraded by the salty air, but still clearly says 'Keep Wales Tidy - Take your litter HOME'.

A more modern anti-litter sign, this one with Cardiff Council's logo in Heath Park. It says: 'Why are you tossing litter around here? - I'm lazy / I don't care about this community / I think other people should pay to clean up after me'. 'Don't be a TOSSER - you brought your rubbish here, please take it home with you'.
