The oldest stars are estimated to be about the same age.
Which makes some scholars - especially those of a more religious bend - to believe that the cosmos was formed around that time.
Though some very fringe sciences suggest that the sun and the moon might be noticeably older than that.
And while scholars don't have an absolute date, none of those methods have ever found evidence of anything older than 500.000 years - the oldest recorded being ~480.000 (+/- 10k years)
Leading them to think that the world was either not there beforehand or was somehow different before that point.
It's a mixture of various comparative and absolute chronology dating methods. Such as:
- counting tree rings
- ice core layers
- coral bands
- lake varves
- cave layering bands
- paleomagnetic field oscillations 'recorded' in sediments
- stratigraphy layering (rock layers, fossils etc.)
Etc.
No one knows the world's origin, though most cultures have myths to fill the gaps.
Scholars analyzing natural chronologies estimates that the world is perhaps half a million years old. Even if no one knows how it was formed.
And some fringe scholars believe that it used to be something else.

'Needles of Life' - takes places in a single modest town, mostly in a single room. With a couple small flashback scenes beyond.
The overarching world of Selendis will be explore much more in later books.
And the wider cosmology beyond that world is will wait for even longer 😅
You do have a great stage to play with given how detailed your world is, so you're probably not running out of fun places to explore any time soon.

The first one in the original post (the purple skinned girl with red hair and horns) was one that I drew myself.
But the last three are commissions I got from three different artists.
The first and last were ones I paid myself. And the middle one was a gift that a friend commissioned.
Weirdness is fun though, so no harm there! 😁

This might just be one of my favourite lines that I have ever written.

The world I have spent most time developing is called Selendis.
It's not a planet in the conventional sense, as my setting does not really have space or planets in the same way.
But it is a world, one amongst several others.
I have written stories for upwards of fifteen years, so I have dozens of OCs. Though I only have visuals for a few of them.
Satavi and Jamal - (the first two characters here) are the main characters of my first book.
Aelindria is my Star Wars character I made when playing a specific SW game.

Purple is not my favourite (that is green) but it is connected to my OC. In her world your soul/magic is connected to a colour, and hers is purple, which is why her magic and eyes is violet, and how the skin of her evil version (in the pic) is purple as well.
What happens in there is unknown. The girls follows the great river of their nation towards its source, and when the one girl returns she no longer ages.
Some stories say that the other girls are sacrificed for this power. Some that they are left behind to live in some unnamed paradise in there.
There is one office that is always female - the Amaranthine (highqueen) of the strange realm of Paaluri.
When a new one has to be elected nine teenage girls, one from each principality, is chosen and sent into the Saun jungle together. Months later, one girl emerges and is declared Amaranthine.
There are a few ceremonial or religious positions that for symbolic reasons are filled by men or women exclusively.
For instance in many religions heavenly positions tend to be associated with women, and earthly ones with men, so priests performing rituals related to either are assigned by gender.
There is a few where it comes about more naturally.
The military has broadly equal genders, but there are far more male archers, as warbows requires more upper-body strength which is more common in men.
Conversely, there are more female cavalrists, as many animals prefer lighter riders.
No nation in my world has strict gender roles - and the few that have are generally pretty mild.
Such as certain attires are more common for men or women. Or for instance in paired dances one partner usually have the lead or follow, which are traditionally gender-assigned but does not have to be.
She looks incredible! I love her stance and the lightning around her, as if she is just about to speed off again.
They will be there, for sure - a few already, and more as I get to write more stories 🔥
The cosmology - and overarching history of the setting.
That is deliberately left mysterious and only ever hinted at with myths, poetry, songs, and similar.
Because I want the readers to theory-craft and piece together that mystery for themselves.

10 - There was no book that inspired my to write. I have always liked making stories when playing.
And writing just happened to be the easiest creative outlet that allowed me to bring those stories more to life. And I just grew to enjoy it more as I went on.
9 - My favourite place to write is lying or sitting on my bed. Which is where I have written almost all my good work.
8 - In life I would rather be known for many good books. As I would rather people like as I came out with new books.
7 - I think the two stories that first made me feel like an actual writer were:
1 - My first ever story, a short father-daughter story I wrote for the Archon and Solarite of my dark eldar Kabal.
2 - An fanfic alternative ending for Mass Effect 3, because I hated the ending. And my first fanfic.
