Metafictive anti-realist, apparently. 1/3 of LUDONARRATIVE DISSIDENTS. You can get a ton of free fiction I got paid to write from www.gregstolze.com. I strive for a language that rich people who don’t dream can’t comprehend.

Media Literacy In 2025
Cool snippet I remember from a dream last night:
I caught a bird in the bathroom and gently released it outside. The bird hopped away a bit, turned, and bowed to me several times. It hopped several feet to the side and vanished. A patch of crocuses sprang up and bloomed there.
Dreams of spring!
“They are children in mind… They turn their play into great matters and great matters into play … Anger they show … when they become aware, suddenly, that there are other wills in the world beside their own. Then they will be as ruthless as the seawind.”
I've been running gdcparties.com for a few years now. Some shitty company BlueberryAI decided they'd just take all the source code for the work I've done and reskin it, advertising it as their own. Jokes on them...it was still linked to my events spreadsheet, and now their website looks like this 😉
We could end homelessness and hunger tomorrow if we wanted to.
We could agree that everyone should be fed and housed.
We could admit that being disabled, poor, homeless or unemployed is not a moral failing.
That society would be better off if everyone’s basic needs were met.
After the Austin mass shooting, Greg Abbott blamed "unvetted immigrants who are hostile to America" and "who are loyal to our adversaries."
Now we know the shooter was a legal, vetted Tesla employee who assaulted a woman on the job last year but was protected from prosecution by corporate brass.
Comic panel of a muscular green figure lying on grass, wearing torn purple pants. Thought bubble expresses hope for change upon waking. Coastal background.
I feel you, Hulk.
I especially appreciate the humility, as with this part by Sean. As Scott notes, the system runs on good faith. You don't tend to conduct a background check when invited to an academic conference.
Ommanyte: how dull for you to live your life without any hills to die on, you, on your vast fiat barren plains of compromise, acceptance, and accommodation, while I reign supreme over the lush, rolling highlands of stupid shit I have irrationally chosen to stake my entire identity on vetstudentlive: as someone who was terrified of having their own opinion, this is truly inspiring ladyyatexel: the hills are alive with all the fucks j give on select topics
Tech bro: haha we made a digital trickster demon and its organising my files haha
Tech bro: so the demon deleted all my files and is pretending it didn’t
I'll take your unwanted sleep, since I was 16 and my hair started graying I have longed to fall asleep instantly and wake feeling good, and the only times it's happened have been when doctors gave me the drug that killed Michael Jackson

Never forget to give these monsters agency like Aaron is doing; they could stop this shit at ANY time but choose not to!
When your boss is pushing you to goose those numbers at all costs silly things like "following the law" and "making sure someone has access to live-preserving medication" just get in the way.
Photo from the early 1970s of a man on horseback negotiating the Birmingham inner ring road at Holloway Head
I’m searching for the original and/or rights owner of this fabulous picture of Birmingham in the early 1970s. It popped up on my Instagram feed, but I’ve been unable to track it down.
Any leads? I’m really hoping to use it in a book.
(And would much appreciate a RT please)

SUPERSTITION was a good'un if you like it cerebral. Great setup from the first paragraph and the expected Moreno-Garcia attention to details of time & place.
We've all done our time in something.
Oh damn, @silviamg.bsky.social on @pseudopod.org ??? The anticipation is gonna be hard to meet!
Wazzat 1 or 2?
I think?
HIM: So, you got a lot on the To Do list?
ME: About average, why?
HIM: Mm, was just gonna tell you SLAY THE SPIRE ][ was disappointing. Probably not worth your time.
ME: Whoa, really?
HIM: NO, NOT REALLY, IT’S FANTASTIC, I’M TRYING TO KEEP YOU FROM PISSING AWAY YOUR WHOLE DAY!
(indignantly) Ahem, I ALSO have been endorsing it???
it's literally just "we may brutalize and kill some of you, but also remember... the rest of you can also just get fucked."
this is far from the worst example, but love that we have to pay fucking taxes on pain of death to fund a government that's given up all pretext of doing fucking anything for its citizens
The world we live in is a world where wars are not fought for any strategic power competition reasons at all, but one where they are fought specifically to generate imagery of suffering for sadistic perverts to get off to without any more thought put into why than that
This phenomenon is not just American
After Russia’s attempt to kill Ukrainian democracy by 3 Days to Kyiv failed, the war in Ukraine became a Porn War, demonstrating to the Russian people that their country could still exert imperial will by means of massacre, and doesn’t that get it up for you
Venezuela was a Porn War, with both the haphazard bombing and the oil theft more meant to satisfy Trump et al.’s transgressive urges than to meet any strategic goal or profit from the ill-gotten but marginal gains of resource extraction as such
Optical illusion of a woman bent over some papers. Her sunglasses are pushed up and she is wearing a hair band so the top of her head looks exactly like a Muppet face
Sorry I know the world is in a terrible fix but I've been laughing at this for ten minutes now
