OJ doesn't notice how nostalgic he feels for S1 until anniversaries roll around. He won 10 years ago. 11. 12. 13. Soon, 14. Stacks up. Every year that goes by he feels a bit more alienated by the fact he hasn't done something as "great," since then in his mind— even though he most definitely has, at least in other senses— he hasn't really had anything physical that he did, in his mind, by himself. No Hotel OJ, no million dollar grand prize, all of it already being spent. While he recognizes he's gained more; real friendships, Paper, the OSC, he feels like he's gone past his prime regardless. He ignores the feeling once he deems it irrational, but it eats at him from time to time; especially when early December arrives.
