Trump's call for Republicans to nationalize elections is "a terrible idea," says Mississippi's Republican Secretary of State, Michael Watson.
“The Constitution is pretty clear on the delineation of the powers there,” he said.

The choice is either A) the Democratic Party should defend transgender people vigorously or B) they should arm themselves.
"Turn in your ID" is literal Nazi shit.
it's 2016: north carolina introduces a bill to ban trans people from using bathrooms safely. there's a national outcry; companies withdraw business up to and including the NCAA cancelling a publicized game. the bill fails.
it's 2026: kansas passes a law nullifying trans people's licenses. crickets.
An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.
This is pure cruelty.

We’re tired of it. Hard-working families are tired of it. The tax code must be fixed.

Tried to become this person in college. Fainted to the intro of “Poker Face” in the locker room and ended up in the hospital briefly. My blood pressure is too low first thing in the morning 🤷
Jesse Jackson was an early and ardent supporter of gay rights. In fact, on July 17, 1984 at the DNC in San Fransisco, the first speech EVER at a national political convention calling for gay rights was delivered by none other than Rev. Jackson himself.
One part of Jesse Jackson's legacy I feel able to talk about is that he absolutely helped to pull the Democratic Party forward on gay rights. He did so out of both moral conviction-- because it was right--and a shrewd belief in coalition politics. That's one of many lessons we can learn from him.
Glad you caught it and are on the road to recovery! 🙏🏼
Sabey (largest AI data center developer in WA) is revealed to be partnering with ICE to expand Trump’s deportation machine and yet a significant minority of #waleg Democrats are quietly working to protect their tax breaks and let data centers continue raising our energy costs.

“Seniors in long-term care facilities develop deep bonds with their staff. Blumberg’s residents, she said, ‘can relate to not being wanted, to being kicked out and coming to America for salvage and freedom and safety and shelter. And they want to be able to protect the Haitians.’”
