In case it wasn’t obvious, Deb (poor Deb, I could write a thesis on her) was the hero of the OG series and Harrison is the hero of New Blood. Dexter may be the protagonist but he’s still an anti-hero. A great anti-hero, but one none the less.

Of COURSE Dexter faked his own death and ran away! It’s a selfish and cowardly move because he’s ultimately a selfish and cowardly person. We’re supposed to feel let down because the show wants us to believe that he’s changed. It’s actually great writing!
I heard people complain about the endings of OG and New Blood for years but now that I’ve seen them for myself all I can say is that anyone who didn’t like them must believe Dexter is the good guy
I’ve watched so much Dexter (OG, New Blood, Original Sin & half of Resurrection) over the past month that my 3 month old has started reacting (squealing with delight) at the sound of Michael C. Hall’s voice.
