My hands have gotten old and arthritic. I can still paint and draw, but not play music like I used to. Trust me, I tried, and he can tell you how that worked out. Enjoy what you do! That's what counts.

You and PNH must be quite the team in your visits! :)
Proud to be helping Atlas Games work to help the people in their home state of Minnesota.
"God Bless you, Mr. Rosewater." Yes indeed, yes.
A really delightful read about Tunnels & Trolls: A New Age. I've been following developments and this is great to see reaching out into the world now. turbothaddock.wordpress.com/2026/02/21/t...
HA! I remember doing that (which was under the auspices of Flying Buffalo, my employer at the time). And yeah: it was waaay too time-intensive to really get off the ground. Glad you remember it at all, though!

If your fingers are too weak to click the link, and you're unaware of my 45-year history in the game industry, you're clearly not a potential member of my national and international audience. Oh well. My focus is on those who delight in my work. Too bad if that does not include you.

Back home after F2F Tour:Toronto. Their unseasonable coldsnap made me think my eyeballs were frosting up when I stepped outdoors.
Tucson is home. It's 74F/23C today. My door and windows are open.
Ice is scary. Gimme scorpions, tarantulas, and rattlesnakes over snow and ice, ANY day.
I am a born and bred desert rat, and the prospect of an excursion to the snow and ice kinda terrifies me. I can't justify an entire winter-weather kit, so I'm hoping to make do.
I run blind auction sales of my work through Patreon. Today's post is about one of those sales, and my upcoming trek to Toronto for the Face To Face Games' Tour Weekend (weather permitting). www.patreon.com/posts/149165...
Glad to have had this chat with you!
I hope you enjoy your solstice day and night! (Northern or southern hemisphere alike.) Easier for me to acknowledge than trying to stay on top of all the celebrations around the season, since this happens regardless of one's belief system. Be happy, be safe, be strong, be you. Cheers!
I offer Magic APs with art on the whitebacks, and some "Wind in the Willows" card alters (on Giant Badger of course). Blind auction ends on Thursday midnight MST. www.patreon.com/posts/144843...
I put a lot into the "City of Plenty" painting, to be released with the Dec 5 launch of the Gothic expansion to "Sorcery Contested Realm." I wrote a deep dive about it in my Patreon, so here's hoping you might be interested! www.patreon.com/posts/city-o...
I am honestly honored to be in such company as the other artists you have in your feed. :)
So very mid-century modern. >.<
Back in Arizona from my long trip to Spain. Immediately gearing up for three weekends at game events in October. All the deets in an open Patreon post. www.patreon.com/posts/139350...

(Good pics = food pics).
But also being to Odysseusβs wine-dark sea, and the inspiring museumsβ¦
The easy part would be tons of good picsβ¦
Just remembered I had joined Bluesky to stay in touch. Out of the tweety habit. Which is a shame since I have spent the last month is Spainβ¦
Time to break out the chart
I had to include the card's mechanics of earth, sky, and fire. For fire, I included the early smelters (bloomeries). Not technically accurate, so I had to make choices (as one does!).
Strange to see this, after I looked at so many reference photos to make the art for the Sorcery card...
Picture labeled "Liz Danforth Magic Artist," dark haired woman gesturing with both hands upraised.

The first of many awards to come, I expect. Bravo to Kelley, Brian, and Seth for their long, hard work bringing the deep history of Magic the Gathering to light for everyone! I'm proud to be one of those interviewed.
