Agree. You can get it on the radio though www.skynews.com.au/sky-news-radio
Not so well apparently
Australians have a lot to be proud of, including our Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). The US drug companies want to water it down, and we need our elected leaders to be brave in defending it. In an increasingly dangerous world, we will need leaders to be braver than they have been for decades
this is what makes me love social media, still!

#Australia. So has the USA just ripped up our free trade agreement? We can rip up #aukus bill then. And Pine Gap agreement. Don't call next time you'd like our support #tariffs
Korean War (1950-1953): Vietnam War (1962-1975): Gulf War (1990-1991): Iraq War (2003-2011): War in Afghanistan:
We have a free trade agreement with the USA, we don't impose any tariffs (ie not minimal, zero). But yes! Still 10%.
The White House says tariffs on Russia (and presumably these others) are unnecessary because we don't trade with them on account of trade embargoes. 3 points:
1) Not true (see below)
2) Iran and Syria are heavily embargoed, but still got tariffs
3) Trump put tariffs on several uninhabited islands
List of countries not subjected to tariffs:
Russia
Belarus
North Korea
Cuba
They apparently took the time to impose tariffs on several uninhabited islands, so the omissions are extra noteworthy. If you spot others please flag!
No one I've talked to or have heard on TV today, could explain how Donald Trump came up with today's tariff numbers.
I checked the other platform and renowned business writer James Surowiecki offered this. It makes sense as an explanation less so for economic policy #Trump #Tariffs
No it's just the 10% that everyone is getting if they don't get a special extra rate. Also, even it it were, GST is not a tariff on imports...
Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us. So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.
james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country
"...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."
Australia does not impose any tariffs on the USA, because we have a free trade agreement. Ahem.
Australia does not impose any tariffs on the US, because we have a FREE TRADE AGREEMENT.
That sounds like a difficult day
I wish Mr Dutton would stop using the insult 'weak' every 4 seconds, it's very annoying... #auspol
Australian researchers who receive US funding were asked to confirm they aligned with US government interests, including only recognising two genders. So much for land of the free? www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...
Trump promised our PM that he would consider an exemption for Australia on steel and aluminium tariffs but he just announced live absolutely no exceptions. Why are we doing this stupid expensive #aukus deal. We just paid them 800 MILLION dollars. #auspol @albomp.bsky.social
A third of the public positions were already vacant, so the 200 new vacancies are on top of that.
