This marks the completion of Year 2 of our 3-year project to plant 4,500 trees on the Maurepas land bridge!  So far, we have planted 3,000 trees with the help of so many amazing volunteers!

What can toughen Louisiana coast against worsening storms? 4 years and 30,000 trees In the wetlands of coastal southeast Louisiana, conservation groups are wrapping up a four-year project to plant 30,000 trees.

CRCL staff took Associated Press reporters for a paddle to see the Central Wetlands Reforestation Collective's tree planting site.

It’s time for cold stratification!🥶🌱

We’re soaking these donated bald cypress seeds and storing them in a cold, dark area to simulate winter conditions and prompt the seed to germinate. In about a month, we’ll get ready to plant them!

Atmos is backing the boots on the ground who make coastal restoration happen. Their support helps keep our volunteer events running. From planting grass to building oyster reefs, our volunteers are restoring wetlands & protecting the coast. Thank you Atmos for investing in a stronger coast.

Four months since planting oak trees in Grand Chenier and we’re happy to report that all 140 trees are looking great! Thank you to the volunteers who joined us and the Cameron Parish Police Jury for keeping these trees watered and healthy. We’re excited to keep watching them grow!
