Video games have their own AI systems, and have had them for years. Those systems are the NPCs, and how the NPCs function in response to the player and the environment.

The way I see it, AI is good if it's a program designed to do one thing really good, like play Chess, or simulate folding proteins. That's the good kind of AI.

The bad kind is generative AI, something that the tech morons intend to be able to do everything, but it can't even manage one basic thing.
