Traditionally there’s an ethical wall between the president and DOJ’s prosecuting decisions. If not, you get someone like Putin or Trump.

Then you blame the Senate for failing to remove him after the House impeached him.

You can blame him for appointing a bad AG. Hindsight is 20-20 though.

It wasn’t his job to prosecute political opponents, or to micromanage DOJ.
