Our new paper on the impact of testosterone on gene expression in spiny lizards was just published in The American Naturalist! We found that the impact of testosterone on gene expression was similar between the sexes but different between species. www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/...
Check out the amazing structure of Plethodon cinereus sperm! It has a flagellum that contains an axoneme AND an electron-dense axial rod with an undulating membrane between. You can see the transition between the head and flagella and hints of axial rod structure in fragmented cell (in comments).
