Good. I don't think under-16s should be banned from social media. I think they should not have access to smartphones in schools. I think parents also need to step up and actively listen to young people in their care about what they experience online so they have the first clue what is going on.

Social diode, installed in reverse.
Almost no one in Britain has a fucking clue how anything works. Elections. Taxation. Parliaments. Councils. Police. Most people don't have a scooby about the rules for any of them. That's what won the EU vote for Leave. Proper civics lessons in schools are desperately needed. anon_opin GOLD from 7th February 2024

Keir Starmer is privatising the NHS π¨π¨π¨
www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/whos-makin...
Trump publicly humiliated Starmer three times in a row. Starmer's response is to abase himself before the Orange Buffoon and beg for forgiveness. Three lessons: Trump despises him, it was never gonna work, the 'special relationship' is a fig leaf for Britain's weakness.

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.
From mandatory ID cards to arresting pensioners for holding up cardboard signs to cosy deals with US tech spy firms:
It's good to see lawyers pushing back on their increasingly authoritarian Govenrment.
We must protect jury trials.
